Elizabeth Dang, B.A.
As MLG’s Director of Trial Services, Elizabeth Dang collaborates with the legal team to strategize the most effective approach in presenting arguments in a jury trial. She performs extensive research and designs mock jury focus groups to extrapolate from it which areas to improve. Elizabeth critically analyzes jury selection using statistical data, interpersonal understanding and technology as tools to present evidence. Her work in the legal field, psychology background and interpersonal skills developed from leadership roles, in culmination with her solving skills allows Elizabeth to excel in her profession.
Prior to MLG, Elizabeth gained legal experience presiding as a paralegal at a private firm catered to the Vietnamese-American population in Orange County, where she worked on many civil litigation matters. Furthermore, she worked as a Research Lab Assistant in social and cultural psychology. Lastly—by day a legal consultant; by night, Elizabeth doubles as a Software Engineer. She is a full stack developer knowledgeable in React, JavaScript, Postgres, Rails and AWS. She has built single page web applications and worked independent roles.
Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she achieved the Dean’s Honor Roll in 2012 and 2013. She was an active member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority and held a chair position her junior year. Thereafter, Elizabeth attended her 1L year of law school before taking a hiatus to complete a coding bootcamp for web development. She intends an eventual return to law school to complete her Juris Doctorate degree.
A perfect day for Elizabeth consists of traveling with loved ones to a foreign destination, exploring the local eateries and dancing the night away at a music festival. Her happy places also include ice-skating, skiing and anywhere seaside.
