LITIGATION PARALEGAL

Kim Cook graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Political Science and obtained her Paralegal Certificate from the University of California, Irvine. Before joining MLG, Ms. Cook was the Vice President of Operations for a consulting firm and has worked as a Litigation Paralegal for several firms across different areas of law, including intellectual property, probate, and personal injury. She began her legal career as a patent prosecution, trademark acquisition, and copyright infringement Paralegal, and become a probate Litigation Paralegal due to her desire to provide justice for individuals in contentious conservatorship and trust battles.

Ms. Cook’s legal passions lie in personal injury matters, where she has committed herself to obtaining favorable outcomes for clients against insurance carriers, automobile manufacturers, and distributors. Ms. Cook’s passions for justice were instilled in her by her father at a young age through his humanitarian work with the UN, IOM, ICMC, and more. In her free time, Ms. Cook enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing with her two cats, traveling, cooking, reading, and watching movies.

ZF-TRW Airbag Control Unit

Automakers Kia, Hyundai, and FCA (Fiat-Chrysler) recalled approximately 12.3 million vehicles due to faulty airbag control units (ACU), which posed the risk failing to engage the airbags in the event of a collision. The same defect is also linked to Toyota, Acura, Honda, Mitsubishi, Porsche, and Volkswagen vehicles.
