SHERYL RICCARDI, D.N.P., R.N., C.P.N., C.E.N.
MEDICAL CONSULTANT
Sheryl Riccardi has over 20 years of emergency nursing, trauma, pediatric trauma, and mass casualty management. Sheryl has been a hospital nurse leader, ER nurse educator, and clinical informatics nurse. Sheryl was instrumental in building a team that opened Orange County’s only dedicated Level I pediatric trauma center. She has worked in collaboration within the ED to develop pediatric 15 `til 50 mass casualty incident response in Los Angeles County and was published as a Joint Commission and California Department of Public Health Leading Practice. Sheryl is also a TNCC and ENPC instructor advancing the education and credentialing of nurses in trauma management protocol and competencies.
Sheryl has collaborated with nursing leaders to bring evidence-based nursing practice to the bedside that have improved patient outcomes.
Sheryl is known for team building, relationship building, and collaborating with peers and leaders across the organization.
Recently, Sheryl graduated with her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Organizational Leadership from West Coast University in October 2021. She also obtained her MSN Educator degree from West Coast University in 2017. She obtained her BSN from the University of Southern California in 1999.
Work life balance is a priority. Traveling, spending time with family, and reading are all aspects of self-care to indulge in. Pet therapy is another joy not to be missed.
